Take a good look at this picture:
That’s Kyrsten Sinema, a member of the Arizona House of Representatives. She’s a Democrat and former member of the Green Party (which speaks volumes about the gal). This past Thursday, Ms. Sinema introduced HB2286 in the Arizona House. The bill seeks to amend Sec. 2. Title 13, chapter 23, Arizona Revised Statutes by adding section 13-2320 (Domestic terrorism; classification). Part “A” of 13-2320 would add the following definition of “domestic terrorism”:
An individual or group of individuals commits domestic terrorism if the individual or group of individuals are not affiliated with a local, state or federal law enforcement entity and associate with another individual or group of individuals as an organization, group, corporation or company for the purpose of patrolling to detect alleged illegal activity or to individually patrol for the purpose of detecting alleged illegal activity and if the individual or group of individuals is armed with a firearm or other weapon.
Let’s see. Ms. Sinema wants to brand anyone a “domestic terrorist” if they have the temerity to “associate with another individual or group of individuals as an organization, group, corporation or company for the purpose of patrolling to detect alleged illegal activity or to individually patrol for the purpose of detecting alleged illegal activity” if “the individual or group of individuals are not affiliated with a local, state or federal law enforcement entity” and if “the individual or group of individuals is armed with a firearm or other weapon.”
Well, I agree with Ms. Sinema completely. NOT!
To me this looks like a blatant attempt by Ms. Sinema and her cosponsors to violate the First and Second Amendment rights of all Arizonans. How? Well, the Second Amendment guarantees the “right of the people to keep and bear arms.” And the First Amendment guarantees the “right of the people peaceably to assemble.” Does some sort of inexplicable voodoo occur when citizens exercise the right to bear arms and the right to assemble in the same place at the same time? Is it like a chemist mixing two otherwise harmless substances in a beaker to make a caustic or explosive third substance? Or is she saying that we’re only allowed to exercise one right at a time?
Enough with being coy. It’s quite obvious that Ms. Sinema’s proposed amendment to Sec. 2. Title 13, chapter 23, Arizona Revised Statutes is directed toward—dare I say it?—the Minutemen! You see, Sinema has a history of protecting the “rights” of illegal aliens. Here’s an excerpt from a January 20 article in WorldNetDaily (WND):
Sinema…had earlier submitted a bill asking the legislature to make changes to a law used to prosecute customers of immigrant smugglers as conspirators under Arizona’s human trafficking law.
[…]
‘None of us ever dreamed it would be used in a co-conspirator fashion,’ Sinema said.
[…]
As WND reported, it was federal inaction that motivated Arizona lawmakers to approve the new law creating the crime of smuggling in 2005. Maricopa County District Attorney Andrew Thomas announced he would interpret the law to mean illegals caught with a smuggler could be prosecuted as co-conspirators if they paid a coyote to transport them across the border.
[…]
‘If the customer pays a dope peddler money, he’s violated the law,’ said Sheriff Joe Arpaio, who compares the relationship between coyotes and illegals to drug dealers and their customers. ‘(Here), they’re paying for transport.’ (Emphasis added by Effluent.)
None of us ever dreamed it would be used in a co-conspirator fashion, she says! What sublime lunacy! Did she think that officials like Andrew Thomas and Joe Arpaio would interpret it any other way? Did she think that if Joe Arpaio rounded up a coyote and 30 illegals, he would arrest the coyote and let his “patrons” off scot-free?
And now this genius is going after the Minutemen! In an e-mail I received from my father this morning, he described the Minutemen as “a bunch of old guys who want a little common sense on the borders.” “They have as much right to do their thing as the illegals who march in the streets and demand citizenship,” he adds. And I think his comments sum the whole thing up quite appropriately.
Ms. Sinema has actively participated with the ACLU and the American Friends Service Committee (don’t they sound like a bunch of commies?) in “observer groups” who monitor the activities of the Minutemen. What a goat-rope that sounds like! Moonbats observing Minutemen observing illegal aliens. And all three groups are probably being simultaneously observed by the Border Patrol….
What’s next? Anyway, due to the disturbingly obnoxious nature of this story, I deem it suitable to be filed under:
That’s right. This time it’s Arizona!

OK… Let me see if I understand this HB2286, introduced by the ‘genius’ in the AZ House of Reps., Ms. kyrsten sinema.
She wants to be able to create ‘observer groups’ to ‘monitor’ good people like The Minutemen who are observing the illegals flowing virtually unrestricted across our southern borders. And in this way be able to classify them, the Minutemen as domestic terrorists? However, these ‘observer groups’ would not be classified as such?
Hhmmmm….. well hell, no wonder the feds don’t want to become involved in protecting our border….. they might be considered ‘domestic terrorists’!
I don’t know what is worse, her idiocy, or the people of AZ who voted her into office - now THAT is truly above average representation.
And BTW AZ voters, please don’t get angry with me…. I’m writing this as a native kalifornian, (hard to admit at times considering our voting track record), but we have a WHOLE LOT MORE idiot voters then AZ does….. hhmmmm, does that mean we win? Yeh, RIGHT!
Ooh! This just in!
Holy s***, maybe SHE is from kalifornia……. OK, that answers it. (Well almost).
Harley
P.S. Bummer on the Thursday night card games people. We’ll no longer have the right to freely assemble…… not to mention the possibility of being co-conspirators for domestic terrorism!
P.P.S. Go ahead, blog, flog, whatever me back. See if I care.
Is this Harley of the good old Skivvy Nine days?
And you know what? I suspect you’re right about California having a worse voting record when it comes to the illegals. At least we managed to vote in the co-conspiritor stuff here in AZ.
Geez! I see Arizona politics hasn’t changed. Back when I was on KFYI in Phoenix and later KTUC in Tucson (late ’89’s erly 90’s) I used to say that left wing loonies too bizarre for California migrated to the Grand Canyon State. This really PROVES it.
Does this loon hail from the “granola state?” You remember the definition of California; “fruits and nuts separated by flakes.”
Dunno, Bryan. I was wondering the same thing. Judging by Harley’s comments, she just might hail from CA….
“Our” Harley is from Massachusetts. As for this congressloon, is she in the pocket of illegals, maybe?
