Jay Severin was a call-in guest on Don Imus’ show this morning, and he had some choice words about Hillary Clinton. He started by noting that Barack Obama gets political heat for “playing the race card,” but then added that no one gives Hillary any heat when she “plays the gender card.” It was quite the hilarious diatribe, I must say. But he made some valid points.
According to Severin, “I am Woman, hear me roar!” is Ms. Clinton’s campaign slogan. And then he recommends she also use, “If you sit when you pee, vote for me!”
Imus and Charles McCord noted that Severin seemed somewhat “exercised” about the Clinton campaign, to which Severin replied, “Someone has to fight against Satan…the Dark One.”
Imus, who is equally unimpressed with “The Hillary,” referred to her as a “solid gold-plated phony” and a “horrid human being.”
Severin went on to mention the (over-publicized) feminist love-fest Candidate Clinton attended in Iowa this past week. (You know…the one in which she publicly smeared her husband for the sake of a laugh and a few Brownie points?) Severin referred to her audience at that function as being 80 percent female. He characterized them as a bunch of loonies (my words, not his) that—not knowing the first thing about Clinton or her stand on the issues—would automatically vote for her simply because she has “mammaries” like they do.
I fear there may be a certain measure of truth to the assertion.
