Update: One juror has been dismissed from the jury because he or she was exposed to some sort of information this past weekend. So far, Judge Walton has cleared the other 11 jurors, and the trial will continue.
The Original Post:
Judge Reggie Walton who’s presiding over the I. Lewis “Scooter” Libby trial has a possible problem on his hands. Rumors are flying that one of the jurors was “improperly” exposed to information about the trial that came from outside the courtroom. Apparently Judge Walton is interviewing the jury foreperson in order to determine the extent of the “contamination.”
Mistrial? This could be interesting. Fox News is reporting that there are two alternate jurors available if the entire jury hasn’t been exposed.
