Mike Huckabee and his sidekick, Chuck Norris, are pissed at former Tennessee senator Fred Thompson.  Thompson, it seems, is involved in a conspiracy to steal take votes from Huckabee and channel them to Arizona senator John McCain.

But Norris and Huckabee are even more pissed at McCain.  Because McCain spanked Huckabee in the South Carolina primary.

Donning his persona as Great American Head-Basher, Norris spoke out against McCain from a fund raiser/squirrel fry at his ranch in Tejas.

Chuck Norris brought his tough-guy approach to the campaign trail Sunday, taking aim at John McCain’s age and suggesting the Arizona senator might not last even a single term.

Norris, an ardent supporter of Mike Huckabee, told reporters he believes serving as president accelerates the aging process 3-to-1.

“If John takes over the presidency at 72 and he ages 3-to-1, how old will he be in four years? Eighty-four years old — and can he handle that kind of pressure in that job?” Norris said, as Huckabee looked on.

“That’s why I didn’t pick John to support, because I’m just afraid the vice president will wind up taking over his job within that four-year presidency,” added the action star.  (Emphasis added gleefully by me!)

So, Chuck.  Where did you get this funky little deal about McCain aging 3-1?  If I did my math right, and if McCain were to be elected at age 72, he would only be 76 at the end of his first term—80 and the end of his second term.

Is that the kind of math you good ole boys use on ranches down in Texas?

Besides, part of your statement sounded a wee bit insidious.  Especially the part where you said you’re “afraid the vice president will wind up taking over his job within that four-year presidency.”

Why does that frighten you, Chuck?  Do you know something the rest of us don’t know?

Is that what the deal is, tough guy?

Sometimes having celebrities NOT speak on your behalf is the best idea of all.  Take Dennis Kucinich and his Hollywood mouthpiece, Sean Penn.  No one takes that shit seriously, do they?  What makes you think it would be any more effective unleashing Chuck Norris to make ad hominem attacks against John McCain?

It looks just as ridiculous.
